Thirty Days to Change Myself

A goal is something you try to achieve, which motivates and develops you at the same time. After watching Matt Cutt's speech during class, I was amazed at how just thirty days could change someone's life. I especially liked his goal of writing a novel, because I've tried once before, but I quit after two hours of writing.

Now, I will be showing you three of my own thirty day challenges I made for myself, after listening to Matt's speech.

My first thirty day challenge is to do all the homework given at this camp on THAT day. Because we always go prepare for debate or our history presentations at self study time, I find it quite hard to manage my time properly. Step one to achieving this goal would be to have an agenda, to write down all my homework everyday. This way I won't forget any of my homework.  Step two is to do big assignments, such as history presentations, bit by bit everyday. By doing so, I won't have to push myself so hard on the final day before the due date.

The second goal is to play soccer everyday unless it rains. I really thought the PE class time offered here at this camp isn't enough to keep me fit during the four weeks. Also, I just can't make myself stop eating at the cafeteria here because the food is so delicious. So in order to stay healthy at this camp, I will be playing soccer everyday. In order to play soccer, I should first eat dinner quickly, or else the little elementary school kids are going to take over the soccer field before we even get there. Secondly, I should become close with the soccer TAs, because they choose who is going to play soccer.

My final thirty day challenge is to make more than thirty friends at this camp. One of the most important factors I wish to learn from this camp, is how to be social with other people. Everyone chats on SNS all the time, and we do not have many chances nowadays to talk to various people face-to-face. This camp provides an excellent opportunity to become a social person, and this goal will help me take the chance. I should first actively meet new people. Second, I should respect others and be polite to them.

These are my three thirty day challenges to achieve at this KMLA. I wish I could develop myself through keeping these goals and hopefully achieve them in the end.

  2. I agree with your second goal. However, I guess I'm to lazy to go outside.
